Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Empowered English LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the Holly Grace Callis website, handles personal information when you visit hollygracecallis.com (the “Website”), contact us, subscribe to emails, or request resources.
1. Who We Are
Empowered English LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy and acts as its controller where applicable data protection law uses that term.
Business address: 30 North Gould Street, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States
Privacy contact: info@empoweredenglish.org
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:
your email address when you submit it through a form or subscribe;
your name, company details, and message content if you choose to provide them;
correspondence relating to your enquiry or privacy request;
subscription preferences, consent records, and unsubscribe records; and
technical information processed in connection with hosting, delivering, and securing the Website, which may include IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, and error logs.
If optional analytics or embedded services are enabled, they may process additional usage or device information as explained through our cookie controls.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through Website forms.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, request a resource, subscribe, or contact us.
Our website, hosting, and communications providers also process information needed to deliver their services. Optional tracking technologies are used only as described in Section 7.
Providing information through our forms is voluntary. However, without a working email address, we cannot respond by email or deliver an email-based resource. You can otherwise browse the Website without completing a form.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
respond to enquiries;
deliver resources you request, including email courses and toolkits;
send newsletters and promotional emails when you subscribe;
manage consent, preferences, and unsubscribe requests;
operate, maintain, and secure the Website;
investigate technical problems, fraud, or misuse;
handle privacy requests and complaints; and
meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not automatically add people who submit enquiries to unrelated marketing lists.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
Consent: to send subscription-based marketing emails and use technologies for which consent is required.
Contractual necessity: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or perform an agreement with you, where processing is necessary for that purpose.
Legitimate interests: to answer general enquiries, deliver requested non-contractual resources, maintain business correspondence, and operate and protect our Website. Our interests are providing a responsive service and maintaining secure, reliable business operations, balanced against your rights.
Legal obligations: to comply with applicable legal requirements.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
6. Email Communications
When you subscribe to an email course, we use your email address to deliver the course described at signup.
Ongoing newsletters or promotional emails are sent according to the choices you make when subscribing. Requesting a resource does not, by itself, constitute consent to unrelated marketing.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by emailing info@empoweredenglish.org. We process unsubscribe requests promptly and within applicable legal deadlines.
We may retain a limited suppression record to ensure your unsubscribe preference is respected.
We may still send non-marketing messages necessary to respond to your requests or communicate about an existing service or legal matter.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Website uses Framer’s built-in analytics, which does not use cookies or persistent identifiers to measure visits.
We also embed a Beehiiv newsletter signup form. When this form loads, your browser connects to Beehiiv to display it. If you subscribe, the information you submit is processed to manage your subscription and deliver the newsletter. Further information about Beehiiv’s practices is available in its Privacy Policy.
Links to external services, such as YouTube and Calendly, take you to separate websites governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. These settings may affect the functionality of third-party services.
If we introduce technologies that require consent, we will obtain that consent before activating them and provide a way to change or withdraw your choice.
For questions about technologies used on the Website, contact info@empoweredenglish.org.
8. How We Share Information
We disclose information where necessary to providers supporting our operations, including:
website hosting and delivery providers, including Framer;
form-processing, email delivery, and mailing-list providers;
business storage and security providers; and
professional advisers where necessary.
Providers processing information on our behalf are subject to appropriate contractual restrictions and security obligations.
We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect legal rights or security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
9. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
Where EU or UK data protection law requires safeguards for transfers, the relevant transfer must be covered by a lawful mechanism, such as an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses and an appropriate UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement.
You can contact info@empoweredenglish.org for information about the safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy.
For Australian users, some service providers may be located overseas, particularly in the United States and countries within the European Economic Area (EEA).
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.
Our general retention period is up to 24 months after the relevant purpose is completed or our relationship with you ends:
enquiry information is retained for up to 24 months after the enquiry is resolved;
subscriber information is kept while the subscription is active, then deleted or anonymised within 24 months after it ends unless an exception below applies; and
identifiable technical and usage records are retained for no longer than 24 months and may be deleted sooner according to their purpose and provider settings.
Unsubscribing stops marketing; it does not require us to immediately erase records needed to respect that preference.
Limited consent and suppression records may be retained longer where necessary to demonstrate compliance or prevent unwanted communications. Records may also be retained longer where required by law or necessary for legal claims.
We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may have rights to:
access your personal information and obtain information about its use;
correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
request deletion;
restrict processing;
receive certain information in a portable format;
withdraw consent;
object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
complain to a data protection authority.
You may object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.
Where applicable US state privacy laws apply to our processing, residents may also have rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; use an authorised agent; appeal a privacy-request decision; and exercise rights without unlawful discrimination. We do not currently sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We do not make solely automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
To submit a request, email info@empoweredenglish.org. No special subject line or form is required. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an agent’s authority.
We respond within applicable legal deadlines. If we decline a request, we explain the reason and any applicable appeal process. You may request an appeal by replying to our response or emailing the same address.
13. Complaints
You can raise a privacy concern by emailing info@empoweredenglish.org. We will review it, investigate where necessary, and explain our response. We aim to respond to complaints within 30 days and will let you know if more time is needed.
You may also contact a relevant regulator:
EEA: the data protection authority where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.
United Kingdom: the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Australia: the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, subject to its complaint process.
United States: the relevant state Attorney General or privacy regulator.
Nothing in this Policy restricts your right to contact a regulator directly where applicable law permits it.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Website is intended for an adult professional audience and is not directed to children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
15. Third-Party Links
The Website may link to third-party websites or services. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy notices.
A link alone is different from embedded content, which may transmit information when loaded. Where embedded content requires consent, it is subject to the controls described in Section 7.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The current version will appear here with its updated date.
For material changes, we provide additional notice and obtain consent where required.
